Reconnecting Around the Word

A Recap from our Fellowship Event at Monarch:

We had such an encouraging night hearing about God’s faithfulness through his Word! You can read stories from Audrey Vermilyea, Mary Kate McLaurine, and Jennifer Naves below.

Audrey Vermilyea

The Lord is reminding me that He is found in the present and that what He promises me is my daily bread. His goal for me is dependency and his role is provider. So, in the cancelled plans, the quarantines, the sad and sobering realties, I'm eagerly and always looking for Him and seeing that He is still providing abundantly more and giving us His strength to give up control, trust Him in the day by day and take joy in the truth that our future is secure.

Mary Kate McLaurine

I’ve always struggled with pride, which has led me to some pretty lonely places and bad decisions when I was too stubborn to seek God’s will. Recently, through the Luke study, I was met with the power and glory of Christ! He simultaneously humbles us and bestows value on us, and I’m learning to put aside my pride to accept Christ’s love for me! In Luke 7, it says that the Pharisees “rejected God’s purpose for themselves,” which is something I know I’ve done. I’m challenged to continually seek God’s purpose in all things, and encouraged in his faithfulness to me!

Jennifer Naves

During my current season of life I feel as if the Lord is asking me to Trust in Him and have Full Faith in His Plan for my life. Even though I am going through some hardship and struggles in my life at the moment, I need to fully trust that it is ultimately for my good and for His purpose.  And I need to have complete joy in the abundant love that He has for me and the path that He is leading me on, even when it is hard.

I believe that He ultimately has a GOOD plan for my life because:
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

I will FULLY trust in His plan for my life because:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will makes your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

And through the hardships and struggles along my life’s path, I know that it’s for His glory and for my benefit because:
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” – James 1:2-4
